In most hospitals, a certain amount of experience can be gained in the days following the confinement. The staff is usually happy to show the new mother how to go about the basics of caring for baby.

Baby health centers provide excellent service for mothers with their new babies. The trained sisters will readily giveable assistance, advice and encouragement.

They will also provide booklets and general information, will weigh the baby regularly and discuss feeding or other problems. The centers are worth attending.
